The REAL Zion
"Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the Lord: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the Lord. Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye." - Zechariah 2:6-8.
"For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch." - Isaiah 34:8-9.
Zion. Zionist. Zionism.
I am of the opinion from observation that most people, including pastors, do not know what “Zion” really is.
Because of this scriptural dissonance, the malevolent have taken possession of the interpretation and weaponized it, as usual.
From last article, “For The Love of Souls”:
“Why is it that the children of disobedience always resort to the accusation of hate or antisemitism when they are being corrected or admonished? It is simple, carnal psychology . . .
Yet there are those among them, whom God has set aside, to not only hear the Word, but to do it.”
Also included was this paragraph:
“God will “recompense, for the controversy of Zion” (Isaiah 34:8).
Zion: It is the “city of David”. It means “stronghold” (sanctuary of strength). . .
. . . Bethlehem is also “The City of David” (where Jesus was born). This is written in 1 Samuel 20:6 and Luke 2:4. Bethlehem means “House for the Name of the Lord”. The woman in Revelation 12 IS the “daughter of Zion”, who brings forth described in Isaiah 66:6-8. To whom the Lord said, “send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from the land of Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion” (Isaiah 16:1).”
So what is Zion?
The City of David
“David took the stronghold of Zion: the same is the city of David”. This is the very first mention of Zion in the Bible. It appears in 2 Samuel 5:7.
According to 1st Samuel 20:6 and Luke 2:4, the “City of David” is also “Bethlehem”.
Bethlehem: Bet (house) + El (Lord) + Shem (Name). “House for the Name of the Lord”.
This is the House that David wanted to build, but which task was given to Solomon instead, because David was a “man of war” (1 Chronicles 28:3).
David was also described as a “Bethlehemite”, “a comely person”, “prudent in matters” and “cunning in playing”, in 1 Samuel 16:18.
So “cunning” in “playing” was he, that it is said that David could soothe the soul of Saul:
"And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him." - 1 Samuel 16:22-23.
David was skilled in instruments and singing. He was also, according to the Psalms, a great song/poem writer.
Levites Were Appointed as Singers
The Levites were different from the rest of the tribes of Israel. They were the only ones who could bear the Ark; the only ones that inherited no land, and had to live within the “borders” of Israel (because their inheritance was God); and they were appointed to be the singers and musicians in the temple.
"And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night." - 1 Chronicles 9:33.
"And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy." - 1 Chronicles 15:16.
This description of the Levites as musicians appears in many verses throughout the Kings and Chronicles. David appointed the Levites to this role as they were moving the Ark from “Obed-edom” to “Jerusalem”.
"And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen." - 1 Chronicles 15:27.
In 2 Chronicles 34, David gathers and sets over the building of the “temple” the Levites, but no tools are mentioned: only them that could “skill in the instruments of musick, and the singers:
"And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward; and other of the Levites, all that could skill of instruments of musick." - 2 Chronicles 34:12.
In this account, I context of the other verses linked there, they were repairing/rebuilding what “the kings of Judah had destroyed.”
David appointed all this, remembering the Word of the Lord. David, Zion, Bethlehem. The “stronghold” of “The House for the Name of the Lord”.
Zion is not a Political Purpose
2 Samuel 5:7 is the very first place that “Zion” is mentioned. Zion is according to Abarim Publications, from an Arabic root word “s-w-n” meaning “Fortress”, “to protect” or “defend”. Etymonline tells us that it came from the Hebrew word “Tsiyon” which according to Abarim has a different meaning then what Etymonline gives.
It we stick to the Bible, it tells us what Zion means in the very first mention of it in 2 Samuel 5: A “stronghold” which equals fortress or protection. So the Arabic root stands.
The “City of David” is also revealed as “Bethlehem”: “Beit” (house) + “El” (Lord) + “Shem” (Name), or “House for the Name of the Lord”.
Is the House for the Name of the Lord also a “Fortress”?
In Luke 2:4, Joseph takes Mary from Nazareth to “Bethlehem” which is the city of David. Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Jesus was born in “The house for the Name of the Lord”. He was born in the “City of David”. This makes sense because Jesus declared to John in Revelation 22:16, “I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”
And God also “shall give unto him the throne of his father David:” in Luke 1:32.
Jesus is the Word that was made flesh in John 1:14.
That word “was in the beginning with God and was God” in John 1:1. This answers HOW Jesus could be both the “root” and the “offspring” of David.
The “Word” is protected somewhere, in the “stronghold” or the “fortress” (Zion) – “sanctuary of strength”. It is “defended” and “protected”.
The one entry in Jude 1:9, describes the devil contending with the archangel Michael over the body of Moses; and again in Revelation 12:5-7: Michael and his angels cast the dragon and his angels out of “heaven” after the man child is “caught up to God and to his throne”.
Jesus said to John in the church of the Laodiceans:
“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” – Revelation 3:21.
The “man child” in Revelation was granted that promise. This is the “second child that shall stand up in his stead” in Ecclesiastes 4:15. And we see that in Daniel 12:1 at that same time that trouble like there never was since there was a nation manifests.
He is the “vessel” in which the Lord will reveal himself, as prophesied in the event in 1 Samuel 3:21 and Revelation 15:5. This is when his judgment comes: the “day of wrath”: the “great and terrible day of the Lord”.
Zion is not a “movement”. It is not a political agenda and has nothing to do with Jews setting up the “state” of Israel.
"And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem." - Micah 4:2.
This is repeated in Isaiah 2:3.
The Law: Tabernacle of Moses or the “worldly tabernacle” is described in Hebrews 9:1-23, and the “heavenly tabernacle” is that which the worldly tabernacle that Moses built was patterned after.
The Wordly tabernacle: Zion is from where the law will come forth according to Isaiah and Micah:
The heavenly tabernacle is from where the Word of the Lord comes from, because as we were told:
"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." - Galatians 5:14.
And where did the Lord tell Moses to put the law, which is fulfilled in One Word?
"Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee." - Deuteronomy 31:26.
Moses put the book of the law in the SIDE of the Ark of the Covenant (Jesus was pierced in his side), for a witness against us. The “blood and water” flowed out of his body – John 19:34: The Spirit is life – John 6:63, and the life of the flesh is in the blood – Leviticus 17:11. There are the three that bear witness IN the earth (earthen vessels, our bodies) and agree as one in 1 John 5:7-8: that is “the Spirit, the water and the blood”.
There also are your two “tabernacles” explained as in Hebrews 9. The “law” and the “testimony”:
"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." - Isaiah 8:20.
This further verifies the relationship of the Word and the law:
"According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not." - Haggai 2:5.
The Word IS your covenant.
Jesus IS your Covenant.
Where was that WORD protected?
In the Ark of the Covenant. A protective vessel; a strong hold, defense against the thief.
What is “Zion”? A fortress, to defend, a protecting vessel.
Zion is the city of David. Bethlehem is the city of David: the “House for the Name of the Lord”.
The Ark and the Archangel
I have written before that the Ark of the Covenant and the Archangel have the same purpose: and that the “Prince of the Covenant” and Ark of the Covenant are the same.
“Ark” protecting vessel, a defense, to guard/cover the “Covenant” which is the Word (Haggai 2:5).
“Angel” = messenger, deliverer of messages, envoy, swift.
Archangel = chief angel, chief, first.
The word “arch/arc” also means “strength”, structure in a building that is supported by the structure on which it stands, vault; chief, ruler, leader, the strength of a structure (as in Cantilever arch).
Archangel: chief angels, chief of the princes, also protector, defender.
The first appearance of the word “Archangel in scripture is in 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." - 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
In this verse, the Lord, Christ, shall descend with a shout, with the voice of the archangel. WITH the voice of the archangel. Not with the archangel but WITH THE VOICE shall he shout.
The only other place in the scriptures mentioning an archangel at all, is in the book of Jude, and in this book the only Archangel is named:
"Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee." - Jude 1:9.
Michael the archangel withholds the devil from the body of Moses, but rebuking him, having the power in the Word to do so.
This is the same “Michael” that fights with his angels against the dragon/devil, withholding him from the soul of the man child, so he is identified twice as “withholding” or “letting”: he who withholds is taken out of the way in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 before “that Wicked is revealed”.
"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven." - Revelation 12:7-8.
The same battle/war in heaven, is where the angel returns to Daniel from in chapter 10 of Daniel:
Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince." - Daniel 10:12-21.
Both the “prince” and the “archangel” is named Michael. They are not separate.
“Michael your prince” – Daniel 12:1, Prince, “Messiah the Prince” (Daniel 9:25) and “Prince of the Covenant” (Daniel 11:22) are the same – Covenant is the Word (now you know why they were after him . . . the “man child”).
How do we know that this Angel is the same “Archangel”? Angel is in upper case here:
"Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him." - Exodus 23:20-21.
Zion (stronghold, protection, fortress) – Bethlehem (House for the Name of the Lord) the “city of David”, where “Jesus was born”: the “root and offspring” of David.
Jesus is the WORD. The SEED is the WORD of GOD. Jesus is the “seed” which was not “yet in the Barn” in Haggai 2:19: the same chapter where the “Word” was revealed to be the Covenant.
Barn – structure where seeds and harvest are gathered.
While writing this a “seed” was given to me in reminder of Jacob’s testimony:
"And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it." - Genesis 28:12.
And the Lord said to him when Jacob saw this in his dream, "thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth" and "in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed". This is the same promise God gave to Abraham’s seed.
"And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven." - Genesis 28:16-17.
And in Genesis 28:19, Jacob called that place "Bethel", when it was called "Luz" at the first. (Luz means “deviated, twisted, crooked place”).
The “ladder” Jacob saw reminded me of “The Seed”: because that ladder is also a metaphor for our seed, or “DNA”. And this is verified in the Gospels, because Jesus also mentions this same description when talking with Nathanael in the Gospel of John:
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man." - John 1:50-51.
That “ladder” that Jacob saw was the Son of man.
In Revelation 2 and 3, as Jesus is giving all these visions to John from his Throne, he tells John to write these things to the “churches”. There are seven of them, just as there are seven kings in Revelation 17.
In Revelation 2 and 3, Jesus tells John to write warnings to the angels of seven churches. Only two of those churches receive no admonishment: The church of Smyrna, and the church of Philadelphia. The other five are in danger of falling.
In Revelation we were told that there are seven kings, five are fallen, one IS and one is yet to come, who is the eighth and also of the seven. (Luz and Bethel, the Cherub who sinned and the one who didn’t, beaten out of one piece, out of the mercy seat).
At the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross, there are two thieves on either side of him – one dies in his sin, the other is forgiven because he repented and believed.
These metaphors all represent the same thing.
In Revelation 12, the man child WAS to rule with a rod of iron, and is caught up to God and to his throne. The “earth” is what the dragon and his angels were cast down to, never to enter heaven again.
The “worldly tabernacle”, Moses’ tabernacle is the “body” that the dragon contended with the archangel Michael over: the “heavenly tabernacle” is where the “throne” is – in the “temple of the body”, in the “kingdom” within the man child. This is what the dragon wanted: and he’s not going to get it.
Because the woman who travailed in Revelation 12, is the daughter of Zion in Isaiah 66:6-8, who brought him forth before she travailed; and before her pains came she was “delivered of a man child”.
He has already been “caught up”. What we have not yet seen is his “image” brought to life.
Do you now see what “Zion” is? What “Bethlehem” is and it’s significance to “Israel increasing” in you and me, through the Word, Jesus Christ?
Do you now understand that the “land” that was promised to Abraham’s seed is NOT some dusty piece of real estate in the Middle East? It is in you and me?
WE are the “land”, the “potter’s clay”, the “dirt”, the “dust of the earth” in which God breathed the breath of life, to make us living souls.
Israel is IN you and me, if you will receive it. Still “scattered among the nations” and “in the midst of many people”. And the “Seed” which is the “Word” which is Christ Jesus will restore it, in the Law, that has been transgressed and profaned by the very people who claim they are “Jews” today.
The children of Judah are setting the abomination “in the house called by my name to pollute it” (Jeremiah 7:30), as we speak.
The “temple” they are building is described by David in Psalm 88:6-8, 139:14-16, and Isaiah 44:13-17. It’s not a structure, it is a “man”. A “proselyte” they “found” (Matthew 23:15).
The Jewish religion has “persecuted the church of God and wasted it” (Galatians 1:13-14).
“The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles, through you, as it is written” said Paul to the Jews in Rome (Romans 2:24).
The “controversies of Zion” are going to be revealed and recompensed. And the promises the people of the State called Israel, and those claiming to be Jews have been taken because they have broken the Covenant.
They have BROKEN the COVENANT (the Word God covenanted with them). Not God, not the Gentiles, not the nations of men on the earth who would be blessed by Abraham’s SEED . . . ISRAEL broke their covenant.
No amount of genealogical claims can save them. Only the blood of Christ and that one Word that fulfills all the law.
The Law will go forth out of Zion and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
When the “Seed” is yet in the “barn”, you will know it . . . because you will see him, and you will recognize him.
I will not talk any more about this, so please copy and keep this and read those scriptures. Because there is one more thing to consider . . .
